- Michael Gurau, president of CEI Community Ventures, has joined the board of Speranza Systems, Inc., the leading provider of treasury and bank relationship management software.
Prior to CEI Community Ventures, Gurau's background includes venture capital experience with Advent International, in its London and Boston offices. He also worked in product management, marketing and strategy with the software development company Silknet Software (now Kana Communications), and was general manager of Living Balance, a direct mail and eCommerce start-up associated with Oxford Health Plans' Alternative Medicine Division. Gurau is a graduate of Babson College (BS Finance) and the University of Virginia's Darden School (MBA).
